Move it or lose it

 Exercise is critical, period…

  • Exercise has been shown to improve specific symptoms that commonly affect people with Parkinson’s disease.

  • Maximizing general fitness is essential to meet the challenges of Parkinson’s and other medical issues that can develop as we age.

  • Exercise can be neuroprotective in Parkinson’s

  • Epidemiological studies have demonstrated the benefits of exercise as it relates to PD risk and PD severity.

The power of exercise…

Truth

If I told you that exercise could be the best prescription for Parkinson’s, what would you say? Live a better and longer life, and slow the progression of PD with exercise. Hopefully you are already exercising. If you aren’t, move it or lose it!

Adapt

Every single person has different needs. Symptomatically, it’s like a snowflake, no two cases are alike. PD affects each person differently. Adaptation to each client’s needs leads to the right routine and in turn, a better life.

Team Work

Your needs may be different than others, so an accurate assessment is very important. Keeping you safe is paramount to the journey. Working with your team of medical professionals is integral to the plan. Be safe, be precise, be a team.

How?

I didn’t choose Parkinson’s it choose me.

When a client of over ten years became diagnosed with PD I got involved, I listened, and I learned. Ten plus years later I learned many things and picked up a few tricks of my own. I am certified by the APDA (American Parkinson’s Disease Foundation) and have hands-on experience working one-on-one with clients who have varying degrees of PD symptoms. I am proud to say that I have been integral in improving the quality of life of so many on this journey.
